Very Similar

[edit]

"DX format is very similar in size to sensors referred to by other camera manufacturers (Canon, Pentax, and Sony) as APS-C" - Very similar? It's identical, unless someone provides the proof that it's not. Same crop, same size, same sensor produced by Sony as in other APS-C cameras.... how it is this article imply that it's not identical?

Even sensors within the DX family do not have identical sizes. Canon specifically has 1.6x crop instead of 1.5. Until you can prove that they have identical sensor dimensions to DX format (but even DX format itself isn't consistent) it should stay "similar". --antilivedT | C | G 23:53, 25 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It's all APS-C - format which also has different dimensions ranging all the way from 20.7x13.8 mm to 28.7x19.1 mm - that's exactly where ALL of the DX sensors fit. Therefore it's identical to APS-C format, not just "similar" - word similar implicates that there are dimensional differences, while there are none. 87.105.184.16 (talk) 14:57, 19 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Current Vibration reduction (VR) lenses in DX format

[edit]

I have created a new list for the VR Lenses section of this article. I have taken my infomation from the Nikon Europe website. I mainly formatted it so it was written out in the same style for all lenses (and mirroring the Nikon Website), and added the newer lenses. It also removed lenses that are no longer available on Nikon Europe. My main reason for writing this here, is this is the first time I have done a major edit to a page, and I want to make sure it is good enough.

Below it the list without links.

  • AF-S DX NIKKOR 16-80 mm f/2.8-4E ED VR
  • AF-S DX NIKKOR 16-85 mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR
  • AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55 mm f/3.5-5.6G VR
  • AF-S DX NIKKOR 18–55 mm f/3.5-5.6G VR II
  • AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-140 mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR
  • AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-105 mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR
  • AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-200 mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR II
  • AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-300 mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR
  • AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-300 mm f/3.5-6.3G ED VR
  • AF-S DX Zoom-NIKKOR 55-200 mm f/4-5.6G ED
  • AF-S DX Zoom-NIKKOR 55-200 mm f/4-5.6G IF-ED
  • AF-S DX NIKKOR 55-200 mm f/4-5.6G ED VR II
  • AF-S DX NIKKOR 55-300 mm f/4-5.6G ED VR
  • AF-S DX NIKKOR 55-300 mm f/4.5-5.6G ED VR
  • AF-S DX Micro NIKKOR 85 mm f/3.5G ED VR

Yay or Nay on adding it to the article? And any tips for next time. Lbmarshall (talk) 16:20, 18 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

D7100 and D7200 pixels

[edit]

If the D7100 and D7200 are 6000x4000 then why are they listed as 24.1 and 24.2 megapixels (instead of 24)? Bubba73 You talkin' to me? 23:00, 28 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
